CARP Halton Chapter Burlington “Technology Workshop” in Review

Well known Halton resident Chris Bint gave an excellent presentation on current and emerging technologies at CARP Halton Chapter’s community meeting at the Burlington Seniors Centre in January. Chris spent many years as an educator at Sheridans Centre for the Elderly before moving on to form Tech Coaches. He has a passion for helping people understand and get maximum benefit from the many technologies available to them. This was readily apparent in his entertaining and enthusiastic presentation. You can read more about the services Tech Coaches offer by clicking this link.

We had almost a full house at our Burlington meeting as you can see below with everyone thoroughly enjoying the informative and thought provoking evening.

Tech Coaches also have a number of spring/summer courses coming up  specifically aimed at the 55+ demographic. You can see the details for these courses by clicking this link.

CARP meetings always end with a 50/50 draw the support for which is much appreciated as proceeds help with the cost of putting on the meeting. As is typical the presenter is asked to make the draw as you can see Chris performing this task below. He is seen with Chapter volunteer Hugh Cass who along with his wife Eleanor run the 50/50 draw from their welcoming table at the entrance.

We unfortunately did not get our winners name but here he is after he received his prize winnings of $150. Congratulations and again a big thank you to everyone  who supported this draw.
