Centre for Mobile Innovation: Research Opportunity – App to Monitor Loved Ones Daily Activity

Are you someone who wants to support an older adult’s health and well-being in their homes?

Do you ever worry about their levels of activities during the day?

Do you wish there was a simple way to know more about their daily patterns using a smartphone app?

Researchers at Sheridan’s Centre for Mobile Innovation (CMI) are developing an online platform for you that provides an easy way to check on your loved ones’ daily activities via a simple mobile app. The app allows you to remain connected 24/7 to your loved ones to maintain and improve their quality of life. We invite you to test our new mobile application and your feedback would be greatly appreciated for future improvements to continuously support our community.

Sheridan’s CMI team will meet with you to help install the mobile app and provide you with more guidance, if needed, regarding the use of the app during the study period. Virtual meetings are preferred but we will try to arrange in-person meetings, if needed.

Duration of the Usability Studies: January 2023 – March 2023.

The exact start date will be determined depending on the number of participants interested in this study. The experiments will conclude by March 17, 2023.

As an appreciation for your valuable time and efforts, the Sheridan’s CMI will offer a 20$ gift card for each participant.
