The Double Pandemic of Social Isolation and COVID-19

Social isolation, among the aging population, has escalated over recent years long before
COVID -19. Isolation had become a “pandemic” in magnitude, negatively affecting the physical, mental and emotional well being of so many. The COVID-19 pandemic has compounded isolation in this demographic, with many having been forced to sacrifice social connections and quality of life for life itself.

Due to fear of engaging in community activities while COVID variants persist, isolation in this demographic remains elevated. This could lead to a greater health burden in the longer term and more importantly, diminished quality of life.

Join CARP members across Atlantic Canada as we welcome Rev. Dianne Parker, retired Anglican Priest, teacher, advocate, volunteer and story teller in the “dance of life”. You will be inspired.

Participants will be able to ask questions of our presenter following the presentation.
