City Voices – Federal Horizons Grant Project

In 2021 the Halton Chapter of C.A.R.P. received a Horizons grant from the federal government the purpose of which was to create a book of short nonfiction stories, short fiction stories, poetry and photographs all created by seniors.

The book, CITY VOICES – Connecting Through Creative Expression, is the result of contributions from 41 creative seniors.

The publication demonstrates the vitality of seniors and hopes to be an inspiration to other seniors to become active in what their interests are.

The book is for sale with all the proceeds going to a local long term care advocacy group helping to meet a C.A.R.P. priority of improving long term care in Ontario.
