C.A.R.P. Halton Community ZOOM Meeting Feb 24th: “Helping Seniors Understand and Use Technology”

For our C.A.R.P. Halton Chapter Community ZOOM meeting on February 24th we will have a presentation by C.A.R.P. National partner TechServe (formerly TechServeTO). We all know that technology is playing an increasing role in our everyday lives. Being comfortable with, and more importantly, being able to use technology effectively, will therefore be a great help to many of us in the years ahead. We do not need to become technical whizzes but to know what technology will make our lives easier and to learn how to use that technology will be of significant benefit to all of us. And that’s the focus of our meeting and where our presenters TechServ come in.

TechServe is a technical support and education non-profit to help seniors gain digital literacy skills. It is a platform that pairs tech-savvy volunteers with older adults who require technological assistance. In addition to providing 1-on-1 telephone and video chat technical support for seniors, TechServe hosts instructional group workshops covering commonly used online platforms, create educational resources, and refurbishes used devices for donation to low-income seniors.  They are currently partnered with C.A.R.P. National to provide discounted pricing to C.A.R.P. members nationwide.

Please join us as we expect this to be a very interesting and informative presentation. Here are the details on how to join this meeting:
