C.A.R.P. Halton Chapter Community ZOOM Meeting April 28th “Sit to be Fit”

For our Community Zoom Meeting on April 28th C.A.R.P. Halton Chapter will present the “Sit to be Fit” program. The meeting will begin at 2.00pm. Details on how to join the meeting are provided below. Our presenter will be Sherri Miller of the Alzheimer’s Society of Halton and Hamilton

Sherri is the Team Lead for the Health and Wellness program and oversees both the Sit to be Fit and Minds in Motion programs.  The Sit to be Fit program is funded by the LHIN – now called Ontario Health Team and has been running for approximately 10 years with expansion into different areas throughout this time.  The program is offered in retirement homes to in house residents and also in the community throughout Halton, Haldimand Norfolk, Brant and Hamilton.

The program is 45 mins in length and focuses on strength, flexibility, endurance and balance.  Sherri will use small balls, thera bands and weights during the class and has exercise training through the Canadian Centre of Activity and Training. 

Please join us to learn more about the Sit to be Fit program which has proven to be very beneficial to participant’s overall wellbeing both mentally and physically.
