C.A.R.P. Halton Chapter ZOOM Meeting July 22nd

For our ZOOM community meeting on July 22nd C.A.R.P. Halton Chapter are very pleased to announce that our speakers will be from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum who will present:

“A Brief History of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and a Virtual Tour of it’s Exhibits”

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum was established in 1972 and over the years has developed a large collection of aircraft memorabilia dating from World War 11 to the present that were flown by the Canadian Military. The museum now has almost 50 aircraft which are displayed in an extensive aviation exhibit gallery.

The museum expects to reopen in mid-July as COVID restrictions are gradually lifted and they cannot wait to once again welcome visitors. In addition to the visitor’s gallery there are many additional attractions. For example, you can experience air combat at the controls of an F-18 Hornet in The Air Combat Flight Simulator. This is not a video game – with live instrumentation and a giant view of the world outside your cockpit it is as close as it gets to the real thing without joining the Air Force!

The museum is well signed and easily accessible from local highways.  It is located on Highway 6 in the community of Mount Hope at the Hamilton International Airport with plenty of free parking for museum visitors.

It truly is one of our local jewels and a must see for tourists and local residents alike.
