CARP Halton Chapter Community Meetings in January 2025

10 Rules for Health.

CARP Halton Chapter is pleased to announce that for our first community meetings in 2025 we will be delighted to welcome back Dr. Sean Fletch of Beyond Sports in Mississauga. Dr. Fletch, creator of www.healthcoachuniversity.ca spoke at our meetings this past September when he gave an engaging and informative presentation on Seniors Wellness in which he discussed how seniors can thrive in their golden years: maximizing longevity and healthspan. We received numerous requests to have Dr. Fletch speak again and have arranged to have him back to kick off our New Year.

As usual we will be holding two meetings, one in Halton North on Tuesday January 14th and one in Halton South on Thursday January 23rd. Our Halton North meeting will be held at the Birkdale Retirement Living Residence at 611 Farmstead Drive (Derry and Farmstead) in Milton. Our Halton South meeting will be held at the Seniors Centre at 2285 New Street, Burlington.

This time, Dr. Fletch will speak on the 10 Rules for Health.  Following these 10 Rules for Health will not only help you lose weight but, more importantly, will enhance the quality and quantity of your life.  Ignoring these principles – intentionally or unknowingly – can lead to a cognitive and physical decline in overall well–being. Start the new year with more than just a resolution: gain a clear understanding of why these steps matter and how they can significantly improve your health and vitality.

With a passion for nutrition and fitness optimizing the health and wellness of his clients has always been a natural fit for Dr. Fletch.

My goal is to go Beyond Sports ……. and teach and establish healthy habits, which ensure optimal health for a lifetime of activity”

Don’t miss this chance to take control of your health and happiness. Whether you’re a wellness enthusiast or just starting your journey, this presentation will explain the principles that will lead to a more fulfilling and joyful life.

More about Dr. Sean Fletch:

Dr. Sean Fletch’s journey into healthcare began during his university years when chiropractic care helped him recover from a severe football injury. A Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College graduate and extensive post-graduate training in nutrition, Dr. Fletch has dedicated over 30 years to helping people lead healthier lives.

In addition to his personal passion for athletics and fitness, working with many elite athletes to optimize performance, Dr. Fletch has gained valuable insights into improving everyday life. Using 3D motion analysis to improve physical performance, he has gained insight into the keys to improving balance, mobility, and strength. Managing concussions, a byproduct of managing elite athletes, he has gleaned insight into improving brain health and function. One fundamental tenet of Dr. Fletch’s philosophy is that he practices what he preaches and leads by example.

With parents who are now seniors and many senior patients, Dr. Fletch understands the common mistakes made in managing health as we age. He believes it’s never too late to improve your health span—the ability to live well and stay active throughout your life. Dr. Fletch is committed to educating and empowering his community to take control of their health. While intervention is best incorporated in one’s early years, it’s a misnomer and critical mistake to believe it’s ever too late to start improving your health.

From the above we think you will agree that this will be a very valuable presentation for all of our members and friends.
