CARP Halton Chapter will be holding two community meetings in March, one in Halton North on March 12th and one in Halton South on March 28th. Our Halton North meeting will be held at the Birkdale Retirement Living Residence at 611 Farmstead Drive (Derry and Farmstead) in Milton. Our Halton South meeting will be held at the Seniors Centre at 2285 New Street, Burlington. At our March meetings we have invited representatives from CAA to talk about “Travel Insurance for Seniors”. The main focus will be to address the concerns that seniors should consider when travelling either across Canada or travelling abroad.
The topic of travel insurance is not that of one size fits all, there are a variety of options to consider that meet the various needs of seniors when they are travelling. What one person needs may on their trip not align to the needs of another, and this is a matter that many travellers fail to consider. It is important to select an insurance provider that offers a holistic view of the travel experience and who will individually walk travellers through the process to understand which travel insurance option is right for them and ensure that they are protected.
Seniors should choose an insurance provider who will ensure they understand their travel insurance needs. Of primary importance is that seniors avoid leaving with the wrong and/or insufficient coverage when they are on vacation.
Leading the presentation at Milton on March 12th will be Sonali Saraf (Store Manager of the CAA Oakville Store) and Zain Shahzada (Manager of Insurance Distribution Sales at CAA Insurance Head Office).
Presenters in Burlington on March 28th will be Jayne Firth (Store Manager of the CAA Burlington Store) and once again Zain Shahzada (Manager of Insurance Distribution Sales at CAA Insurance Head Office).
There will be lots of time during the presentation to answer any questions.
Our Halton North meeting will be held in Milton on Tuesday March 12th at the Birkdale Retirement Living Residence at 611 Farmstead Drive, (Derry and Farmstead).
