This month, Seniors Month, we came together as a community to honor the ongoing and valued contributions made by older adults to society as a whole inspiring us all, while celebrating their many gifts and diversity.
As well we marked World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, celebrated Pride Month, and acknowledged Indigenous History Month, in all instances, reflecting on the value of raising awareness of issues that matter to older persons but doing so with respect and inclusivity within our communities. WEAAD brings communities together, demonstrating how older people can be empowered to participate in decision making processes that impact their quality of life.
