CARP Halton Chapter Community Meeting in MIlton: “Speaking of Bones”

For our Community Meeting in Milton we will be delighted to welcome Lisa Campbell. Lisa will be “Speaking of Bones”. Her presentation will include the following topics: Bone Basics, Nutrition, Physical Activity and Fracture Risk Assessment and Fracture Prevention.

Lisa has worked in the Health and Social Service sector for 30 years.   For the past 14 years she has been the Regional Integration Lead (RIL) for the Ontario Osteoporosis Strategy in Niagara, Hamilton, Haldimand Norfolk, Halton and more recently St Thomas.  Lisa is also the Regional Integration Lead with the Long Term Care, Osteoporosis Strategy.  She is the past chair of the Falls Prevention Network in Niagara, current chair of the Hamilton Coalition for falls prevention and an active member of the Halton Falls Coalition.    Lisa is a former master trainer in suicide intervention and a peer leader in the Chronic Disease Self Management Program within the area.
