In a recent edition of our newsletter and on our website, we had an article about family councils and their role in Long-Term Care residences. We discussed how Family Councils Ontario plays a role in helping those with family and friends in long-term care understand the system and advocate on behalf of their loved ones. Today we want to introduce you to a more local group of volunteers working with family councils in Burlington, Hamilton, Niagara, Haldimand, Brant. The group is called the Family Council Network 4 Advocacy Committee and has been advocating for change in long-term Care Residences for almost two decades.
