As we move closer to this year’s Hike for Carpenter Hospice, I’m pleased to share our 2026 theme: Honour The Legacy.
Legacy is deeply personal. It may be a loved one we walk in memory of, the impact Carpenter Hospice has had on our lives, or the compassion and care that continues through our community every day. The Hike creates meaningful space to reflect on these stories and to honour the moments, people, and values that shape who we are.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing stories on our social media channels from people connected to the Hike—participants, families, supporters—each reflecting on what legacy means to them. These stories are an important part of this year’s Hike and a reminder of why this event holds such deep meaning for so many.
I invite you to follow along, engage with these reflections, and take a moment to consider your own legacy as we prepare for Hike day on Saturday, June 6.
Together, we honour the past, support one another in the present, and help ensure compassionate care continues for future residents and families.
Thank you for being part of our community and for the many ways you help sustain the care and compassion that define Carpenter Hospice.
