Nervous System Regulation for Older Adults: Supporting Calm, Mobility & Wellbeing: An Experiential Somatic & Sound Healing Seminar
As we move through different stages of life, stress can show up in the body in subtle ways impacting sleep, energy levels, mobility, and overall wellbeing. This session introduces simple, accessible ways to support the nervous system and bring the body into a more relaxed and balanced state.
Through a blend of education and gentle guided practice, participants will learn how to work with their bodies to reduce tension, improve awareness, and support a greater sense of ease in daily life.
The session will include:
- A brief introduction to the nervous system and how stress impacts the body
- Gentle grounding and orienting practices to support calm and presence
- Light, accessible seated or standing movement to release tension and support mobility
- A short sound healing experience to encourage relaxation and mental clarity
This workshop is designed to be both informative and restorative, offering practical tools that can be used at home to support relaxation, balance, and overall wellbeing.
No prior experience is needed. All movements are gentle and adaptable.
These monthly daytime meetings are arranged especially for those unable to attend our evening meetings. We encourage our CARP members and friends to attend. Your support is essential to ensuring that these meetings can continue.
