The Program: Healthy Aging – Living a Happy and Active Life

For the next 8 months you’re invited to try a free online service that we hope will stimulate your physical, creative, and social spirits – something that COVID has suppressed for the last two years.

You can sign up for a variety of fitness, creativity, and social content through a “live” virtual classroom offering, via Zoom. The program, conducted by Art Your Service, offers 10 free virtual classes every week, via Zoom. Topics will range from nutrition, fitness, yoga, Pilates, painting, cooking, music, poetry, crafts, gardening, art and more. You’ll be guided through each session by trained professional instructors, as often as you like, until March 31st, 2023 (the end of this free program).

This means you’ll have free access to two sessions per day, five days each week, for 8 months! Join just one, or join them all, it’s your choice.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This program is available on a first-come/first-served basis. Once the program is filled registration will no longer be accepted.

Art Your Service (AYS) – A Proven Model

This program is provided by AYS, a professional organization with proven content, expertise, and a great reputation. AYS is the brainchild of Jen Tindall, an experienced arts professional and entrepreneur. Jen saw an urgent need to deliver an innovative, easy-to-use virtual solution that could help seniors cope with the loneliness and isolation of the pandemic. Program Funded by a Federal Grant

The Healthy Aging program has been made possible with the assistance of a federal grant under the New Horizons for Seniors Program that was spearheaded by our friends at the Toronto Scarborough C.A.R.P. chapter. This program was designed to provide funding to community-based organizations that develop projects that make a difference in the lives of seniors.

How to Join in the Healthy Aging Fun – It’s Easy to Register and Simple to Use

  1. Just send an email to Jen Tindall at [email protected] and ask her to register you in the CARP Healthy Aging Program.
  2. Once your registration is confirmed, you’ll receive an introductory email from Jen, welcoming you to the program.
  3. Then you’ll start receiving daily emails (Monday to Friday) outlining each day’s two classes, along with easy-to-use links that will take you directly into the Zoom sessions. Here’s a sample of the daily email you will receive once you have registered.
  4. If you can’t make a class, don’t worry, you can watch it later. Every daily email also has a link to take you to a Library of archived recordings, so you can watch the class at your convenience.
