Halton Chapter invites you to join us at our community meetings in April. As usual there will be a meeting in both Halton North and Halton South.
Our Halton North community meeting will be held on Tuesday April 14th at the Birkdale Retirement Living Residence, 611 Farmstead Drive, (Derry and Farmstead).
Our Halton South community meeting will be held in Burlington on Thursday April 23rd at the Seniors Centre at 2285 New Street.
We will be pleased to welcome our guest speaker for an evening “In Conversation with Martin Rochon.” This will be both a presentation and dialogue exploring how to approach people with empathy and respect when raising the topic of social isolation while creating and maintaining space for dignity, trust, and meaningful connection.
Martin will also discuss his current initiatives focused on mitigating social isolation in communities across Ontario. With an extensive background in this field Martin is especially looking forward to engaging with our members and friends, sharing an evening of conversation and exploring your questions and insights.

Doors will open at both locations at 6.30pm, the program will start at 7.00pm with a few words from our sponsors, a brief welcoming address and an update on CARP and Halton Chapter activities.
Light refreshments, coffee, tea and treats, will be available. At Milton refreshments will be provided by the Birkdale Retirement Residence. We thank the management and staff for their generosity.
There will be a break at the midway point which will allow time to socialize with fellow members and to visit our sponsors.
We will wrap up around 8.45pm in order to be out of our meeting spaces by 9.00pm. This will allow staff time to close up after our meetings have ended.
Our meetings will conclude with a few closing remarks and our 50/50 draw. We encourage you to support this draw as proceeds help defray the costs incurred in putting on our meetings.
Our meetings are FREE to attend. Although we encourage CARP membership everyone is welcome to join us at either or both locations. We look forward to your support and are looking forward to sharing these informative evenings with all attendees.
