RLC: Understanding the Caregiver Journey – April 21, 2026

Caregiving often begins quietly. A small change. A new responsibility. As care needs evolve, it can grow into something that feels overwhelming, unpredictable, and deeply emotional.

Caregiving can be deeply meaningful – but it can also feel uncertain, heavy, and isolating at times. This session is designed to help you navigate the caregiving journey – what it looks like, how it changes over time, and how to deal with challenges that come up.

This session will explore:

  • Preparing to care and adjusting to the caregiver role
  • The stages of the caregiving journey and managing associated challenges
  • The emotional ups and downs that many caregivers experience
  • How needs shift overtime for both caregivers and those they support

Who Should Attend?

  • Family caregivers at any stage of the journey (seasoned or new caregivers)
  • Healthcare providers supporting caregivers in the community
  • Anyone who wants to better understand the caregiving experience
