Accessible Devices for the Home with Ability Concepts
Assistive devices can make everyday tasks safer and easier – both for the person receiving care and for their caregiver. The right assistive device can help maintain independence, prevent injuries, and reduce physical strain on caregivers.
This session will cover:
- Devices that support mobility and daily living
- Strategies to reduce caregiver strain
- Tips to help prevent falls and injuries at home
- How Ontario’s Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can help with equipment funding.
This session will be presented in partnership with Ability Concepts, a provider of home healthcare equipment in the GTA.

Becoming More Assertive: Tips to Express Yourself Effectively and Manage Your Stress
Assertive communication is a balanced approach that helps you express your needs clearly and respectfully, while also acknowledging others.

- How assertive communication can reduce stress and improve relationships
- Practical tips and techniques you can use at home and work
